I have had a busy and out of “sync” week; totally not normal to my regular schedule. I am a night owl, always have been, it’s not unusual for me to be awake until 2-3 am, before I finally fall asleep. The blessing is that since I work from home, I can sleep until 9 or 10, and all is well.
But this week I have had to be up very early (for me at least), for I had an early appointment one day and have been helping a friend for a few days, set up for a big event for this weekend. This message spoke to me, because although I’ve been thrown off my schedule, God has kept me going to follow where He calls me. He gives me the strength to do all of this (with much less sleep and more than normal physical exertion, including enough energy to carry on and get through… and be more than OK.
I look back at so many times and many circumstances in my life, where I ask myself “how did I get through all of that?” Times of trial, loss, problems and so much more. And I know now that the answer is that God not only gave me the strength to endure, but He also made me stronger through everything I’ve had to walk through. It’s at these exact moments when we look at our situations and have no idea how we will get through them, that we just need to look up to Him, and fully trust that He will not only give us the strength we alone do not have … but will use these times to make us stronger for the next step that comes along our journey.
