Every Blessing is a Gift
We all love God’s Blessings, right? Especially the “big” ones, those that are so apparent and amazing, that we place the name “miracle” upon them.
And since our God is all powerful and truly awesome, He can do anything and everything, for nothing is ever impossible for Him. How truly blessed we are, to have such a “big” God, and His vast and wonderful presence in our lives.
Yet sometimes, I think we tend to oversee, the “gentle” blessings he bestows upon us, in the more subtle and quieter ways. The blessings He brings each and every day, that lead to even greater blessings along the way.
The times we can look back and see, how He had a plan all along, with greater meaning, fulfilling so much more than we were able to hope for, or could possibly envision.
The times when His maybe’s, no’s and just wait’s, were exactly a part of His perfect plan for us, leading to the final “aha” of the clearly evident blessing.
His protection from all that could have harmed us, or His change of direction placed within our thoughts and hearts, to put us on a better course.
The things that we may have looked at as coincidences, but then come to realize, they were actually His divine appointments.
A friend calls just when you need to talk, money comes at exactly the right moment, an answer to a prayer is revealed in the simplest of messages, or a problem just seems to work itself out.
These are His gentle blessings, the ones we don’t always recognize, until we look back and comprehend, that nothing is just happenstance, or serendipity as some like to call it , but that everything is truly a gift that comes from His gentle blessings.
The blessings that lead to more, the unexpected blessings we never even asked for, the love He shows us everyday, by taking care of the many needs and necessities, we don’t know even know we have.
When His gentle hand touches every part of our lives, because He loves and cares for us that much, and longs to gives us always more than we deserve or could ever hope for.
Look for the gentle blessings each day in your life… the ones present, as well as the ones past…thanking Him for all the “gentle” blessings He gives to you, while you live the greatest gift you have been given…a life that is always “gently” blessed.
