Do you ever find yourself in a place or situation, where you’ve done all you can, yet things are not changing, for better or worse?
Maybe you’ve been trying so hard for a promotion at work, yet the opportunity continues to pass you by. A situation with a friend or family member is stuck at an impasse, due to a past misunderstanding or hurt. It could be a church or a group you belong to, that changes direction, no longer fulfills you, nor is moving you forward in your spiritual journey.
As life changes…we change, and what may have been good before….is not so anymore. Doors continually open and shut, giving us a way “in”, as well as a way “out”.
If you’re like me, you may believe that walking away is “giving up”…. yet it’s truly not. There will be times, when we will have to accept, that the best thing to do is to walk, and not stay.
The times we truly know that we’ve given one hundred percent of our every effort, to only end up at another dead end.
Many times, God calls us to vacate a current situation, or condition in our lives, that no longer holds out any hope for change, resolution, or open prospects for new opportunities. The moments you experience that tug in your heart, telling you it is time to let go and “okay” to walk.
When you realize, that in order to find peace in your heart, or move forward to a new dream or opportunity, you will have to leave behind that which was, to be able to embrace the new calling that God is setting before you.
We can’t continue to carry around all we accumulate in life, without being weighed down to a point, where there is no room for new, and more. Embrace all the good that this season of life brought, let go when the season is over, moving on to all that still lies over the horizon, all that is waiting and reaching out to you.
Begin today, to humbly search your heart and soul, with Gods wisdom, understanding and strength, to see clearly, the places you should no longer stay… acknowledging you did your best…to be “okay” to walk away… from what no longer serves you, others, or God.
